Passwords/PINs and User IDS
What happens to my passwords, user ID's, and other log-on information?
If you choose to store them, your passwords, user ID's, and other log-in information are stored in a secure format, and only you can access them. When this information is used to access your account information at any of the financial institutions that you've added to your Dashboard, it's encrypted with SSL technology.
Below are descriptions of the three Update Modes used to update your Dashboard information. Note that only the Automatic and On Demand modes require you to store any passwords or user id's, and that your privacy is maintained if you choose to store them.
Automatic-Your account log-on information is stored in an encrypted format. Your account information is updated automatically, even if you don't log on.
On Demand-Your account log-on information is stored in an encrypted format and can only be decrypted when you choose to update your accounts. Simply click the Update icon next to the name of the financial institution on the Dashboard screen.
Manual-Passwords and PINs are not stored. You need to enter this information each time you wish to update your accounts.
