  • EE Bonds - Half the face value
  • I Bonds - Face value
  • HH Bonds - Face value by exchange of E/EE bonds, I bonds, or matured H bonds only
• Interest rates (call 1-800-487-2663 for current rates):
  • EE Bonds - Market-based variable rate determined every six months, or a guaranteed minimum rate, whichever is higher
  • I Bonds - A combination of two separate rates: a fixed rate of return and a semi-annual inflation rate
  • HH Bonds - A fixed rate is set for 10-year increments based on the guaranteed minimum rate for Series EE Bonds at the time of the exchange and at the 10-year extension date
