TurboTax for Online Banking (“TTOB”) is an exciting new offering scheduled to be generally available on Consumer Internet Banking in January 2010.
Consumers can seamlessly access TurboTax Online by simply signing into a financial institution’s Internet Banking platform and clicking on the TurboTax Online access point — no authentication required.
A greater share of tax refund deposits for your institution. Your customers’ account details are pre-populated in TurboTax Online, so users can easily deposit their refund directly into their accounts at your financial institution. Based on the results of the pilot program that Digital Insight implemented this past tax year, 86% of end users that filed their taxes via TTOB and received a tax refund deposited that refund into the financial institutions that implemented TTOB.
No cost to your financial institution. TTOB will be rolled out as part of an Internet Banking release and will not require any implementation effort on the part of your financial institution.
Increased loyalty and referrals. According to a survey of TTOB end users, 89% said that they view their financial institution more favorably because of the TTOB product offering and 47% said that they would be more likely to recommend their financial institution to friends and family.
